Our design staff is working with several families in the Galveston area to rebuild their homes and get them back into their homes and back to a somewhat normal life. (many people as of April 2009 are still living in tents, hotels and trailers and have no idea when they will be able to go back home.)

Below are some pictures of homes we are working on or have completed. One special project was getting an elderly couple back into their home. They first were moved into a home with family members in Houston, but with one in a wheel chair and the other using a walker it was difficult for them and they needed to be near their doctors. FEMA moved them back onto the Island and into a motel room, which they had no way of going anywhere and for several months were stuck in one room. We completed rebuilding their home (water was to the ceiling and everything had to be torn down and rebuilt) and furnishing the home and brought them home the end of January. What a wonderful day that was to have them finally back into their home.
