Our Policies
If you bought an item that you are not happy with for any reason, please notify us in writing (email or fax) within 15 days of receipt of merchandise. Do not return item to the address on your invoice until you have received written authorization to do so. Once returned you will receive a full refund on the cost of the item, less shipping fees and restocking fee. (Many of our manufactures charge to restock their merchandise) NOTE: There are no refunds or returns on custom designed items unless they were damaged by Freight Company.
Please notify Crayon Castles immediately via email at customerservice@crayoncastles.com if item is damaged or you are not happy with product, as we have to obtain an authorized return tag sent to you on items sent direct from our designers/manufactures.
Damages
Retain all original packaging material, including shipping box.
Notify your nearest UPS, FedEx or USPS office within 24 hours.
UPS & FedEx will come to inspect - USPS (Post Office) you will have to take the merchandise to them and fill out a form. If this is not done with in the time frame shown above they may not honor the claim.
DO NOT destroy packaging or throw it away until then, and DO NOT ship back on your own. YOUR ORDER LEFT OUR SHOP IN PERFECT CONDITION. It was inspected and initialed on your packing slip by the head of our packaging and shipping department, therefore the claim is between you and the shipper.
Special Orders/Custom Designed Items Special orders (products that are not in stock items or that deviate in any way, such as monogram, custom designed bedding (including lengthing of skirt drop, changing fabrics or style), custom designed furniture, custom designed window treatments, custom deisgned light fixtures and shades, etc.) are considered non-returnable. As with all of our products, Crayon Castles, LLC., quality is guaranteed.
Shipping Policy and Prices
Currently we ship anywhere in the continental United States. If you are located outside of this area, please e-mail customer service for an additional shipping charge.
Shipping Charge is Based by the Product's Weight using UPS Rates. If customer sellects the incorrect shipping (such as FREE SHIPPING on an item that is not FREE SHIPPING we will add the correct charges to your order.
The exact shipping time on custom items may vary due to items being out of stock or a large demand for a particular item. Ship time shown on our site is an approximate time and it may vary. Currently Art for Kids and Classic Cottage Bed Crowns are running 6-12 weeks on shipping. Stanley furniture is 30 - 45 days. Davenport bedding is running 6-12 weeks. Updated April 15, 2010. All custom orders and orders we have to order from a designer/manufacture will be charged to your credit card at the time we place your order with them. Items we have in stock will be billed when items are shipped to you.
Small In Stock Items are shipped via USPS 2 Day Priority Mail
Some items will be directly shipped to you via the manufacturer/designer and may incur a small drop ship charge, which is calculated into the UPS Rates. (see above for shipping time table on custom orders)
